Training and Development Manager

The MCF is a dynamic and influential charity working with police, children’s services, education, health, NGO personnel and Government to better protect children who have been abused online and to support them and their families on their road to recovery.
We are looking to recruit or offer a secondment for a Training and Development Manager to support operations. This post is a key new role within the MCF. The post holder will be responsible for delivering specific projects and programmes in line with the five-year strategic plan. Working closely with the Director of Services to specific milestones and budgets such plans will ensure MCF further develops, delivers and promotes a world class response both nationally and internationally that enables practitioners to improve their service response to child protection and recovery. The post holder will also provide leadership and direction to the associate trainers to ensure that training delivery is of an excellent standard.
We need this person to have experience in the design and delivery of training as well as the design of resources including training packages. You need to have a sound understanding of child sexual exploitation and abuse, safeguarding and related fields. If you care passionately about and advocate for children’s rights, are motivated to work on behalf of children, young people and their families and have excellent communication and presentation skills, we would like to hear from you.
Location: National - This role is primarily home based with occasional time spent in our offices Well, North Yorkshire.
Salary: £38,666 - £42,500
Working Hours: Full time with opportunity for flexible working and or condensed hours by agreement
Contract type: Secondment or 18 month fixed term subject to a probationary period of 3 months. The post requires a satisfactory enhanced DBS check

Essential:
- Training design and delivery experience
- Experience as a practitioner of working with victims of child abuse
- Knowledge and experience of the subject area
- Confidence and competence in using IT
